We got into Lowlines by chance. John bought three cows off of a Craigslist advertisement. They seemed a bit small compared to our neighbors but a good size for our needs. A year later, 2012, we experianced a severe drought in our area. People were feeding hay in June. Our little cows, however were fat and slick eating the dried grass and available browse. We processed on of those cows that fall that graded out prime despite being finishes on the grass she could find on our parched pasture. Since then, every animal we have processed has been a full choice when finished on grass.
